Starting Secondary School

The transition from primary to secondary school is a hugely significant stage in a child’s life and, therefore, also in the lives of their parents/carers. We understand this.

Students who are starting Year 7 at our school in September 2021 will continue to receive information (via this website, via letter, and/or via their respective current Headteachers), which explains the strategies we have in place. If you have any questions about the transition process, please contact or Mr Gower (Assistant Principal)

There are lots of really great resources our there to help support young people with the move to secondary school. We think this page on the BBC Bitesize website is a good example of that:

Meet the Mentors

On Thursday 15 July at 6pm we are holding an online event that gives Year 6 pupils the opportunity to meet their Year 7 mentor and to ask any questions that they may have about starting secondary school. To book a place on this event, please click here.

School Tour

We have created this video for Year 6 pupils joining us in September. We hope it will give you a sense of your new school environment. We look forward to being able to welcome you in person soon.
